The first is the gated developments: many need access arranged in advance with a concierge or a code, and a van sitting at a barrier is time you are paying for, so it is worth confirming before the day. The second is Banks Road in summer, which becomes a single slow queue from late morning through the afternoon and can add half an hour each way to a Sandbanks job. We book early on that road for a reason, and we will tell you plainly if the slot you want is the expensive one.
