About BH2 — coverage and access
BH2 is a small postcode that punches above its weight for moves: West Cliff, the BIC and Pavilion, the Lower Gardens and the streets running down to the pier. Almost everything here is flats — converted hotels turned into apartments along West Hill Road and Priory Road, purpose-built seafront blocks, and studios above the businesses on Poole Hill. Whole-house removals are rare in BH2; single-flat moves, room moves and furniture deliveries are the daily work. For the wider town see Bournemouth, and for the next postcode west, Westbourne in BH4.
BH2 is a mile and a half from our base, so there is no travel charge, but it is the hardest postcode in the area to park in and that is what you are really paying for. Exeter Road and the seafront approaches are pay-and-display with no loading exemption, West Cliff Road is steep and narrow with cars both sides, and in summer the whole grid backs up from mid-morning. We book BH2 jobs early where we can — before nine is a different world from midday. If your block has an underground car park or a service bay, say so when you ring, because it can take a chunk off the time.
