About BH3 — coverage and access
BH3 is two very different places sharing a postcode. Talbot Woods and Meyrick Park are large Edwardian and inter-war houses on wide tree-lined avenues — proper family removals, often with a loft and garage to deal with as well. Talbot Village, a mile north, is Bournemouth University and AECC territory: purpose-built halls, shared houses and a September and June rhythm that we plan our diary around. Neighbouring Winton, just over the BH9 line, is where a lot of the same student traffic ends up — see the Winton page if that is where you are heading.
Two and a half miles from base, so no travel charge on either half of BH3. The Talbot Woods streets are genuinely easy — long driveways, room to turn a Luton, and a carry measured in feet rather than flights. Talbot Village is the opposite on move-in weekends: the halls have designated unloading bays that fill by nine, and the one-way system around the campus adds time if you arrive late. For anything student-related here we start early or go late afternoon, and we will tell you which slot is left when you call rather than promising one that has gone.
