Christchurch has one quirk that catches removal firms out: the town centre roads near the Priory are pedestrianised at certain hours, so a van cannot simply pull up whenever it suits. We know the access windows and book around them, which is the difference between loading at the door and carrying everything from Castle Street.

Christchurch jobs are usually calm and well-organised — a lot of downsizing moves out of the larger bungalows around Highcliffe and Mudeford into smaller riverside flats nearer the Priory. The Barrack Road end can be tight for a Luton because of the parked cars on both sides, so we often park up on the lay-bys near the hospital and shuttle. For runs out to Lymington or New Milton we use the A35 east; for anything heading toward Bournemouth or Poole the Christchurch bypass keeps us out of the town-centre traffic. Mudeford Quay deliveries time around the tide and the seasonal car-park rush.
