About BH25 — coverage and access
BH25 is the far eastern end of our coverage, over the Hampshire border: New Milton around its station and clock tower, Barton on Sea on the cliffs, and Bashley and Hordle inland towards the forest. The housing is dominated by coastal bungalows and post-war semis with a run of modern detached, and the demographic means downsizing work — moves that come with a loft, a garage and often a clearance attached. The nearest pages on our side of the county line are Highcliffe and Christchurch.
At around ten and a half miles from base, BH25 sits marginally beyond our ten free miles, so there is a small mileage element on top of the £65 minimum, counted both ways — in practice a pound or two rather than anything that changes the decision, and we will quote it exactly rather than leaving you to find out. Access is straightforward: bungalows with driveways, wide roads and no permit zones. The one caution is Barton on Sea itself, where the clifftop roads are exposed and a high-sided van in a strong south-westerly is slower to load than the same job a street inland.
